This
puppy warranty & bill of sale binds the conditions and terms
-
The health of your puppy
is guaranteed for 72 hours after the purchase date or from the date of
shipping. There are no other implied warranties past this period. If the
puppy has been shipped, it will have a thorough examination by our
veterinarian prior to shipping, including a health certificate issued by a
licensed veterinarian in the State of Ohio
-
if the puppy does
not pass the buyers vet check, the purchase price of the puppy will be
refunded upon return of the puppy, AKC registration papers, and a letter
from the veterinarian describing the problem encountered
-
All puppies are
registered with our kennel name and tattooed in the right ear for
identification
-
Temperament is
guaranteed at the time of purchase. Major factors which may contribute to
the changes in temperament are most likely environmental or due to the lack
of sufficient training and socialization. The breeder (seller) has no
control over environmental factors; to ensure the puppy receives sufficient
training and socialization we offer a free basic obedience class to be
completed at our facility
-
The ears should stand
erect by the age of 6-8months. There is no evidence of any ear problems
within our breeding lines. The ears may stand up, then go back down
especially when the dog begins teething (acquiring adult teeth at
approximately 5-9 months) if the ears are up at times, then down at times,
it is safe to assume that after teething is completed, the ears
should stand. At a veterinarian’s suggestion the ears may be taped for
a period of 4wks starting as early as 12 –18 wks of age
-
Male puppies are
warranted to have both testicles at the time of purchase. When the puppy is
vet checked, the testicles are identified during the exam. The testes form
in the abdomen and descend into the scrotum. It is common for testicles to
drift up and down this pathway/tube. Complete descended testicles may take
up to the age of 4-6 months before fully descending. Puppies will not be
replaced after the age of 8 months for an undecended testicle

Studies have proven that
mating only dogs with radiographically normal hips will noticeably reduced
dysplasia. The major components of hip dysplasia include a genetic
predisposition which causes the body to react to certain diets, activities
and environmental factors. Owners can help to reduce the incidence by
controlling environmental factors: diets, exercise, weight, controlling
excessive amounts of protein and energy rich food to minimize rapid growth
rates
-
All of our breeding
stock has hip certifications. Your
puppy is guaranteed to be free of hereditary hip dysplasia and guaranteed to
pass the German ‘a’ stamp hip certification which must be completed at the
age of 12mo/1yr. Information regarding the ‘a’ stamp hip evaluation has
been included
-
If a puppy fails the ‘a’
stamp, a replacement puppy will be given from the next available litter. The
buyer (owner) must forward the complete health records and radiology report
to the breeder (seller). Upon receipt of these documents, the breeder will
select a replacement puppy of equal or greater value. The hip/elbow warranty
is a replacement puppy warranty, not a money back guarantee/warranty; there
are no exceptions to this policy. After the age of 1-1/2
yr (18 mo) this warranty becomes void. There is no exception to this
policy.
-
A dog that fails the hip
certification must be spayed/neutered or euthanized; proof of the
spay/neuter must be sent to the breeder along with copies of all veterinary
records. If euthanasia is elected, a veterinarian statement and copies of
all veterinary records must be sent to the breeder. No dog will be replaced
without receipt of these reports. There is no exception to this policy
-
OFA (orthopedic foundation for animals) hip
evaluations are completed at 2yr/24mo of age. In the unlikely event that the
puppy is diagnosed with hip dysplasia by the age of 2 1/2 yr old, a credit
will be issued for half the price of your next puppy, with the stipulation
that: this dog has not been used for breeding (sired or whelped a litter)
prior to the age of 2 1/2yr. And, if the defect is diagnosed as being
caused by trauma, stress, neglect, abuse, or any other non-inherited factor,
this guarantee will then become null and void without effect. The
hip/elbow warranty is a replacement puppy warranty, not a money back
guarantee/warranty; there are no exceptions to this policy. After the age of
2 1/2yr this warranty becomes void. There is no exception to this policy
-
The hip/elbow warranty is non transferable
